Golf cart tours in Rome
Every tour here uses an electric cart with a local driver-guide. Prices are the lowest "from" price listed by the seller; the final price depends on your date and group.
We earn a small commission when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you. Bookings, payment and customer service are handled by Viator. Tour photos show the places you'll visit, not the operators' own carts.

Short, practical answers to the questions people ask before booking.
Questions people ask
How much does a golf cart tour in Rome cost?
Small-group express tours start around $69 per person. Classic 3-hour small-group tours cost about $100–150 per person. Private tours run roughly $100–230 per person, or $400–800 for the whole cart. Cruise day trips from Civitavecchia start around €790 per group.
How long does it take?
Most tours last 2.5 to 3 hours. Express tours take about 1.5 hours and full-day tours 6 to 8 hours. In 3 hours you usually see 6 to 8 major sights.
Can they pick me up at my hotel?
Many private tours include pickup and drop-off at hotels in the historic center, usually inside the Aurelian Walls. Small-group tours start from a meeting point near the Pantheon, Termini or Villa Borghese. Choose "Pick us up at the hotel" in the search above.
Private or small group?
Small group is cheaper per person and good for couples and solo travelers. Private costs more but you choose the route and pace. For 4 people or more, a private cart often costs about the same per person.
Is it OK for kids and wheelchair users?
Yes, it's one of the easiest ways to see Rome without long walks. Some operators give free child seats for ages 2–12 and don't take infants under 2. A folded wheelchair takes about two seats, so mention it when you book.
Do we go inside the Colosseum or the Vatican?
Standard tours stop outside for photos and stories; entry tickets aren't included. Some full-day tours add a guided visit, for example to the Catacombs or the Vatican Museums.
What if it rains?
Most tours run in light rain and many carts have a roof and rain covers. Many listings have free cancellation up to 24 hours before, but some are non-refundable, so check before you book.
What's the best time of day?
Around 9–10am has the lightest traffic and the nicest light at Trevi. In summer, an evening tour after 6pm avoids the heat and shows the city lit up.
Should I tip the guide?
Tips aren't included and are up to you. €5–10 per person, or about 10% on a private tour, is common if you enjoyed it.
